1. Introduction

SmartBizz ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by DevMonks (devmonks.space), is a unified cloud-enabled point-of-sale (POS), billing, and business ledger application designed for retail shops, supermarkets, restaurants, service counters, and businesses of all sizes. We are committed to absolute data privacy and security. This Privacy Policy describes how SmartBizz handles data and Google API services.

🔒 Zero Server Storage Principle: SmartBizz is a privacy-first, serverless application. We do not own, lease, or operate external databases to store your business records, invoices, customer lists, or transactions. All your business records remain strictly on your local device and in your personal Google Drive account.

2. Information Access & Storage

When you authorize SmartBizz to connect to your Google Account, the app receives access tokens locally. These are used only to communicate directly with Google API servers on your behalf.

Local Encrypted Storage: Your product inventory, customer ledgers, sales checkouts, and expense logs are cached on your mobile device using encrypted local databases. This allows full offline functionality. Data is cleared whenever you sign out or clear app storage.
Google Sheets Cloud Database: SmartBizz reads from and writes to spreadsheets stored in your own Google Drive account, serving as your private, cloud-synchronized ledger.

3. Google API Scopes Usage Disclosures

To enable seamless multi-device synchronization and backups, SmartBizz adheres strictly to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements:

Google Sheets Scope (.../auth/spreadsheets): Used exclusively to create, read, and append rows to inventory, sales, customer balance, and expense tabs. No sheets outside of the app-created database are ever accessed, read, or modified.
Google Drive Scope (.../auth/drive.file): Used to initialize new database spreadsheets and share editor access with authorized staff/operator emails that you explicitly configure. No other files in your Drive are accessed.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure

We do not share, sell, distribute, or rent your business transactions, inventory, customer details, or personal profile data to any third-party companies, advertisers, or brokers. Data sharing only occurs when you explicitly add staff operators to your workspace.

5. Security of Your Data

Because all cloud sync requests are executed directly between your device and Google API servers over HTTPS/TLS, your data benefits from Google's enterprise cloud security infrastructure.

6. Access Revocation

You can revoke SmartBizz's access to your Google Account at any time via your Google Account Security settings under "Third-party apps with account access".

7. User Data & Account Deletion Request

We respect your complete right to manage and delete your personal and business data:

Local Device Data: You can completely erase all locally stored data at any time by tapping "Sign Out" or clearing app data in your device settings.
Cloud Data (Google Drive): You have complete ownership of your Google Drive files. You can delete the SmartBizz spreadsheet database directly from your Google Drive at any time.
Manual Deletion Support: To request account disassociation or assistance, email us at santhoshbukka5@gmail.com with the subject "SmartBizz - Data Deletion Request". Requests are completed within 48 hours.
